Sarilawan

The mangrove forest of Sarilawan or Srilawan (pronounced see-lah-wan) is the shattered remnant of the once-great harimau kingdom of Aatkanya. To the south of the mangrove forests lies the Bay of Balangku, while numerous streams flows through the entire area and the Chamai River runs in the north. The area is very prone to the monsoon. The heart of the Sarilawan is an area well-known for a substantial population of man-eating tigers and dire tigers. Yet people there worship them. The people of Sarilawan believe that some receive special powers to protect the most important parts of the mangrove forest. These special individuals are thought to have been reincarnated as tigers, whom only attack those that are unjust and greedy, seeking the hidden treasures of the Sarilawan.
