Princess Vanamari

Princess Vanamari (4657 - 4682) was the first wife of Emperor Bhimaksa, although she was never empress. In late 4673, Vanamari married Bhimaksa at the age of 16.

Bhimaksa was greatly impressed by her grace and politeness. Once married, she became obsessed with hallucinogens and was also jealous, superstitions, and vindictive. Bhimaksa never gave her the title of empress, but princess. They did not have any sons, but one daughter, Princess Nirapuma.

In 4682, Vanamari was killed during an assassination attempt on the emperor's life. She was buried with imperial honours.
