Layarang kingdom

The Layarang kingdom was an ancient nagari kingdom with their capital at Amangkurat. They rose in power during the reign of Parakala I (1930-1961) and Jatabhanu (1961-1985) and dominated the Kaliyatran and dominated the eastern and northern part of Langa for approximately two thousand years.

The early civilizations in Langa and Panau was heavily influenced by Layarang. Existing cultures in Panau, and even the language, still show influences from the Layarang literature and religion.

Throughout the entire reign they were in constant conflict with the nagari in west and the Langanese kingdoms and Maganda in the south. They were finally defeated by the Jukang kingdom in 3901.
