Doyang Swamp

The Doyang Swamp, also known as the 'land of a hundred seas', is a vast wetland in southern Panau. The swamp's name comes from the Doyang people who liver near the Black River. The surrounding area is covered in heavy undergrowth and trees. The freshwater lakes and rivers are murky due to mouldering undergrowth, often times referred to as dark-waters. Even though the water appears not be particularly hospitable for wildlife, animals do thrive here both on the ground and in the swamps. Because of the swamplands remoteness, the Doyang have little contact with the outside world. Sea snakes, crocodiles and large monitor lizards are known inhabit the swamp.
