These herd animals are usually domesticated and used as draft and dairy animals. A few have also found use as pack animals. A buffalo stands about 4 feet tall at the shoulder and is 6 to 9 feet in length. It weights 1,400 to 1,800 pounds. The horns are slender and curved. During dry season, they feed on bamboo shoots and barks. Buffalo gather in small, loose herds.

The statistics here is for the smaller buffalo, called banteng, that inhabits open grass areas or evergreen forests. The gaur and water buffalo species is heavier, slower (speed 30 feet), and has a higher Strength (Str +6) and Constitution (Con +4, Toughness +6)
